NETCOM.cm, the official registry in charge of the Country Code Top Level Domains of The Republic of Cameroon, proclaimed today that it will launch second-level .cm domain name registrations on October 15, 2008.
The company articulates that the launch campaign will commence with a short sunrise period to give holders of national trademarks opportunities to protect their brands online . It adds that following this period is the general registration, starting November 15, allowing the general public to register sought-after .CM domain names.
Based in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, NETCOM.cm Sarl was founded in early 2008 as a proud partner of ANTIC -- The Information Technology Regulator for Cameroon. Mr. Moustapha Saya Kaigama, president of NETCOM.cm Sarl, commented: "After years of struggling with the technical hassles, we're so excited to announce that now NETCOM can offer .COM.CM, .NET.CM and .CO.CM to businesses and individuals throughout the world."
