If your website is hosted in another webhosting company, just change the DNS (domain name server) in your Godaddy account. To customize your DNS, just go to your Godaddy account, then click manage domains, then click "name servers", then choose "custom domain". The default DNS points to Godaddy servers. Most of my websites, by the way, are hosted with Lunarpages and Hostgator webhosts.
For Lunarpages clients, just input the DNS (NS#.LUNARSERVERS.COM and NS#.LUNARSERVERS.COM where # represents a number) in your Godaddy domain management account. Then go to your Lunarpages cPanel, go to addon domain and add the name of your domain. Wait for 6 hours, at least, before you'd be able to see your domain now pointing to Lunarpages server. If you are hosting websites at Hostgator, follow the same procedure. Usually the DNS of Hostgator is NS###.HOSTGATOR.COM.
