Sitestar Corporation, a provider of web hosting services, announced that it has acquired the dial-up subscriber and web hosting customer base and other assets of AlaNet Internet Services.
According to the company, the deal is the third acquisition Sitestar has consummated in 2007 as the company continues to execute its plan to increase its customer base, revenues and net profits.
"We are dedicated to taking Sitestar to the next level by acquiring more ISPs and expanding our focus to include other growth segments and initiatives to further increase the company's revenues," said Frank R. Erhartic, Jr., CEO for Sitestar. --- www.webhosting.info

Sitestar has gone to the next level, unfortunately it is down, not up.
Sitestar purchased Donobi two months ago. I've been with Donobi for years with (almost) no complaints. Since the Sitestar takeover I have experienced one problem after another. Customer support? My guess is that they are completely overwhelmed because their response time is measured in days, not hours. If, in fact they even bother to respond.
I used Donobi primarily for my business email. Sitestar has lost it, tossed it and gotten it black listed. Other Donobi customers are experiencing the same problem.
In its race to be bigger, Sitestar may have bitten off more than it can chew.
